Introduction

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Cybersecurity) is dedicated to producing skilled security professionals equipped to safeguard digital systems, networks, and data in an increasingly connected world. The programme offers rigorous training in ethical hacking, network security, digital forensics, cryptography, and cyber law, preparing students for the most challenging security roles in government and private sectors.

Programme Highlights

Ethical Hacking & Pen Testing

Comprehensive hands-on training in offensive and defensive security using tools like Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite, and Wireshark in a dedicated penetration testing lab.

Digital Forensics & Investigation

Training in cyber crime investigation, evidence acquisition, memory forensics, mobile forensics, and incident response using industry-standard forensic toolkits.

Cryptography & Secure Systems

In-depth study of symmetric and asymmetric encryption, PKI, blockchain security, secure software development, and applied cryptographic protocols for real-world systems.

Infrastructure & Lab

The CSE (Cybersecurity) Department is equipped with purpose-built, air-conditioned security labs featuring isolated network environments for safe ethical hacking practice, high-performance workstations with multi-boot configurations, and dedicated forensic investigation stations. The department provides 100 Mbps leased line internet connectivity with dedicated VPN access and 100 KVA power backup.

The infrastructure includes smart board-equipped classrooms, a cybersecurity seminar hall for guest lectures and workshops, a dedicated SOC simulation room, and a research lab for advanced security projects. Classrooms are equipped with modern audio-video systems supporting hybrid learning.

The security labs maintain strict access control, isolated virtual networks, and honeypot environments enabling students to practice real-world attack and defence scenarios without risk to live systems.
