Admission into UG and PG programs of the Institution is based on single window counselling conducted by the Government of Tamilnadu.
The B.E. courses are the flagships programs at Adhi College of Engineering and Technology(ACET). The admissions to these courses are strictly by merit. There are currently five B.E. programs at ACET offering a total of 390 seats.
Out of the total seats 60% (234) are filled up through single window counselling. The seats offered by ACET are filled up within the first few days of counselling with significant high cut-off marks. The remaining 156 seats of the management quota are also offered through merit. 50 seats are earmarked for students who excel in both their academics and sports, toppers of government rural schools of Tamil Nadu. Apart from this as part of walk-in-walk-out scheme 50 seats are offered to toppers of various state boards with full scholarship.
Admissions to all programs at Adhi College of Engineering and Technology including all M.E. courses are offered purely on MERIT. Scholarships are awarded to meritorious candidates with preference to:
Candidates must have obtained their Bachelor’s Degree /appeared or appearing for the final year examinations of the qualifying degree from a University or a Professional Body approved or recognized by UGC / AICTE. Candidates with AMIE or equivalent can also apply.
Seats of P.G. Programmes are filled as per the reservation norms prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
ST, SC, MBC / DNC, BC categories are applicable to Tamil Nadu candidates only. Candidates from other States will be classified under “OTHERS“ category as applicable.

Admissions under this category is open to all individuals except NRIs, People of Indian Origin, Foreign Nationals. Applicants wanting to be considered under the Sports quota are requested to choose the appropriate category in the admission form

A 'Pass' in recognized bachelor's degree obtaining atleast 50% of the qualifying examination (45% in the case of candidates belonging to reserved category) Candidates who pass in the qualifying degree course will appear for TANCET Exam
