The College takes pride in having a Central Library housed in the Main Building block with a built up area of 4720 sq.ft where Books stack area, circulation counter and online public access catalogue facilities are arranged. There are Journals Section, Reference Section, Reprographic Section and Digital Library. This Library has more than 16841 books and subscribing 45 journals which include national and international journals and magazines.

In addition to books and journals, E-journals packages are subscribed. All the back issues of journals are bound and kept for ready reference. There is a separate library sections for U.G.Courses (CSE, EEE, ECE, MECH, CIVIL), P.G.Courses (M.E.Engineering Design & M.E.Communication System) and Doctorate Courses (Ph.d-ECE, Ph.d-MECH, Ph.d-PHYSICS & Ph.d-CHEMISTRY).

All Departments have their own library to cater the instant reference needs of faculty members.The Library has been computerized all its operations using in house development library software that is well maintained and updated regularly.

Rules & Regulations

  • Students should sign in the gate register.
  • UG Students are eligible to borrow 2 books and PG Students are eligible to borrow2books and faculties will be issued 5 books.
  • Books will be issued to the students and faculty only on production of the valid ID card.
  • The books should be returned within 15 days from the date of issue.
  • Books, which are not return on due date, a fine of Rs.1/-.
  • Books may be renewed for a further period of 15 days, if the concerned book is not reserved by others.
  • Books that are in special demand may be called for at any time if required.
  • A borrower taking book on loan has to check the book and inform the librarian if there is any damage.
  • A fine of Rs.30/- will be collected for any damage of the books.
  • Books borrowed from the library are not transferable.
  • Library book must be returned when student go home on long vacation.
  • No user shall deface the library books by underlining or scribbling notes in the margins etc.,
  • All users are required to protect library books against wanton and willful damage, mutilation, theft and other malpractices.
  • Loss of books issued, if any should be reported to the Librarian immediately in the prescribed form.

  • If the borrower’s is unable to replace the lost book by another good copy, recovery of the cost of the book lost will be made on the following bases:

  • Current price of the book in triple if the loss of books is reported before the due date.
  • Journal and back volumes will not be issued.
  • Personal books and files should be left on the rack at the entrance of the library. Plain sheets may be taken instead.
  • Students are advised not to keep their valuable things like cell phone, calculator, wallet etc., in the property counter.
  • Library authorities are not responsible for any loss of such items.
  • Use of mobile phones inside the library is strictly prohibited.
  • Discussions are not allowed inside the library.
  • Strict silent should be observed in the library.

  • Students and faculty Transfer Certificate will be issued only after the production of ‘No Due Certificate’ from the library.
